KBZAC Student Activities

The KBZAC provides a range of different learning activities in a variety of disciplines which includes Physical fitness, Survival, Adventurous activities that prepares cadets for future missions and deployments where physical fitness is as much a requirement as intelligence and competent leadership. These programmes help build self-discipline, self-confidence, problem-solving and a host of other skills and behaviors that are vital in Military life.

1. Physical fitness Endurance Training

Physical fitness is one of the top pillars in cadet life. It keeps cadets in top physical form and encourages them to lead healthy lifestyles. The benefits of participating in endurance running sparks friendly competition and develops a lifelong habit of regular exercise in cadets.

2. Survival Training in Swimming pool

All cadets must undergo survival training as part of their curriculum in order to prepare them as pilots. This pool training including: floating or treading water, jumping into deep water, enables them to improve the skills needed to potentially save their own life.

3. Desert Field Training to learn the basic military survival rules

The cadets undergo several field training exercises in the deserts throughout their journey at KBZAC. Desert training is a vital learning experience for the cadets, they face the rough challenges of outdoor survival including challenging weather conditions and difficult terrain. They live in tents and learn to work together as a team. This team building experience is an important part of their military education. Every year many expeditions are planned at emirates and national levels.

4. Adventurous training in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah

The cadets get an opportunity to undergo several adventure training sessions to reinforce their classroom instruction with a hands on application in a field environment. Some of the training activities are conducted in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah with exciting adventure activities which include rock climbing, diving, abseiling, high-level hill walking, high rope work and sailing. These are all part of the cadet experience.

5. Automatic Rifles Instruction

One of the most exciting activities in the cadets training is to learn how to use automatic rifles. Learning how to shoot teaches cadets a number of key skills that develop discipline, safety awareness, precision and how to remain calm under pressure.

6. Flying Aircraft

Flying is one of the many activities air cadets take part in. The goal of this activity is to educate, train, and build self-confidence with the end goal of being able to fly solo. As future pilots the importance of this activity is self evident.

7. Emirate/National Sports Competitions

Cadets have the opportunity to participate in a series of competitions at the emirate and national level. The purpose of these competitions is to challenge Cadets in tough mental and physical situations, and to enhance their leadership development, develop team cohesion, and to develop healthy competition. KBZAC cadets have won several competitions, notably the Jiu-Jitsu competition at national level.

8. Drill

Drill is an important part of KBZAC cadet training. Drill promotes discipline, alertness, precision, pride, and the unity necessary for success within a group. The cadets must work together in unison.

The objective of drill practice is to teach the students the importance of working collectively as one group. To achieve this the cadets, need to follow out instructions given to them quickly and efficiently. Drilling is a mainstay of military instruction and promotes and demonstrates teamwork and pride in their Armed Forces.

9. Community Service through Volunteering & Blood donation

Cadets volunteering in different community events and social causes is an important part of the community engagement strategy at KBZAC. Volunteer work aims to support and assist the community to provide services and assistance in various fields to meet social needs or to assist in any of the issues evident in the community.

KBZAC cadets also participate blood donation campaign during their course of study. Cadets not only act an as a blood donor but also act as blood donor ambassadors to facilitate the blood donation.

10. Community Engagement through Field Visits

Another learning activity for cadets that involves community engagement is field visits Faculty members arrange field visits by communicating with companies that can provide an opportunity for cadets to learn outside of the classroom and get hands on experience under the guidance of professionals in the industry.
